Who is this course for?

This training is aimed at anyone involved in the management of fire safety in any workplace.  This includes managers, supervisors, team leaders, fire marshals and staff working in any area where there is a potential risk of fire.

Learners undertaking this training will know that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace and will recognise the consequences of fire in any premises.

What does the course cover?

These covers topics which include responsibilities of employers and employees, hazards and risks, the control of fire risk, principles and practice of fire safety management at work and the role of the nominated fire marshal.

Timings?

This course usually runs from 10:00 - 12:30, it is recommended that learners arrive at least 15 minutes before the session to sign in, make a drink and get settled before the training starts.

Assessment

This course is assessed by the tutor throughout the course with lots of group discussions and a practical assessment on the use of portable fire extinguishers.

Certification

Successful learners will receive a certificate of completion.

Refresher training is recommended annually.
