Overview
This course is aimed at Fire Risk Assessors who are responsible for conducting fire risk assessments in residential and complex buildings. This course is designed for learners who have at least a foundation knowledge in risk assessment so they can build on existing knowledge in higher-risk buildings.
The purpose of the course is to allow learners to demonstrate that they are capable of carrying out fire risk assessments in higher-risk complex premises and have the under-pinning knowledge needed, at the required depth to confirm occupational competence and provide learners with the required knowledge and skills to work within the sector specialising in this area.
Who can take this Course?
This course is aimed at those who intend to carry out fire risk assessments as ‘competent persons’ as required by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO).
Individuals enrolling onto this course will typically be Fire Risk Assessors or safety professionals with an advanced level of responsibility for fire safety.
This qualification is specifically designed to enable learners to demonstrate their ability to undertake fire risk assessments in high-risk premises.
This qualification is suitable for both in-house Fire Risk Assessors and independent consultants.
How will I complete this qualification?
Face to Face (Classroom)
You can attend one of our face-to-face training sessions in Horsham, West Sussex.
This course is conducted over 3 days and involves the completion of a short workbook and submission of fire risk assessments of High-Risk Premises (Buildings over 18m in height).
Online (Zoom/Teams)
Our online sessions will run similarly to that of the classroom sessions but will be delivered via Zoom/Teams.
This course is completed over 3 days and involves the completion of a short workbook and submission of fire risk assessments of High-Risk Premises (Buildings over 18m in height).
RPEL (Recognition of Prior Experience and Learning)
You will work with our dedicated assessors and produce evidence of your previous learning and your ability to carry out fire risk assessments in High-Risk Buildings.
We will look through your previous learning and experience, identify any gaps in the assessment criteria, and provide a workbook to achieve any outstanding learning outcomes.
PLEASE NOTE: Evidence of previous learning and experience will need to be provided before being accepted onto the RPEL route.
There are no EXAMS to complete to achieve this qualification.
