Entry Requirements

Learners must have a Flyer ID from the CAA (obtained by completing a small online assessment)

Learners are recomended to have Membership with FPVUK, we can conduct your practical competency flight assessment at the same time as this qualification.

Assessment Methods

Assessment is carried out through a combination of knowledge and practical competence evidence.

Learners must demonstrate that they meet the required learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each mandatory unit.

Assessment may include:

  • Practical flight assessment
  • Observation of competence
  • Written or knowledge-based evidence
  • Portfolio evidence
  • Professional discussion
  • Development of an operations manual
  • Review of planning and operational documentation
  • Internal assessment and verification

The qualification is assessed on a pass or fail basis. Assessment is internally assessed and verified by centre staff, with external quality assurance carried out by ProQual.
